Welcome to Resource for a Recourse, an online database of the statutes and laws governing sexual assault and domestic violence for each of the states and territories of the United States of America. There are also lists of organizations and contacts that offer emotional support for rape and abuse survivors, in some cases financial support for those wishing to prosecute their abusers, and help for those wanting to protect themselves or even remove themselves from abusive domestic situations. The website is a work in progress and will eventually expand to also cover other countries; for now, if you live outside of the United States and have a question about the laws governing sexual assault or domestic violence in your country, use the Contact page to see if we can help answer it.
